Every once in a while, God brings people across our path who impact us for the rest of our lives. Anna Joy was one of those people.
An Easterseals poster child with cerebral palsy may seem an unlikely hero of faith. She was devoted to Jesus, which often resulted in being misunderstood. She was a prayer warrior, an intercessor. Her love for her Savior could not be quenched despite suffering loss, betrayal, and disabilities associated with cerebral palsy.
Anna Joy loved people. She placed others’ needs above her own, day and night, whether she was sick or in pain. I know few people who have walked at the level of holiness and faithfulness to Jesus that Anna Joy did, amid great suffering. At the same time, the Lord manifested his presence to her and through her in ways few may have seen in modern times.
The more Anna Joy suffered, the closer she drew to Jesus. May you be inspired and encouraged as you glimpse portraits of a life lived to the glory of God.
